About Us

What We Do

The daily class schedule provides a balance of open-ended and structured time. Daily classroom routines contribute to a feeling of security because children can predict what will happen and when. Routines help children develop scripts and a balanced acceptance of change and transition. The four main elements of the day highlighted below are based around a specific theme or unit our class is learning. Our class may have a doctor’s office set-up during dramatic play to teach the children to care for others, a building block area during free choice time to teach the children about the foundation of bridges, or a garden station during small groups to learn about the growing process.

About Jake

Yay

We bid farewell to Gogo as she embarks on a new chapter in her life, and we will forever cherish her impact on PCDC. However, I am delighted to introduce Jake, who has graced our Daycare with his presence.

Allow me to share a little about Jake: He has been lending a hand at PCDC as needed over the past year and will now be joining us on a more consistent basis following Gogo’s retirement. Jake is a high school Junior attending the esteemed “Abeka Academy,” a virtual private school. As an honor student and a gifted musician, he showcases his talents by playing both the trumpet and the guitar in his church band. In his leisure time, Jake enjoys bonding with his younger brother, Charlie, engaging in board games, partaking in karate classes, and delving into the study of the Bible. With his passion for guiding the younger generation, Jake is a perfect fit for PCDC!
